Chairman of Taiwan´s Foxconn to meet India’s President this year

Young Liu, Chairman of Foxconn, plans to visit India later this year. He anticipates a meeting with India’s President during his upcoming trip.

During his last visit in July of the previous year, Liu participated in the Semicon India conclave and held discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Foxconn has committed approximately USD 9-10 billion in investments in India, focusing on expanding iPhone production, establishing a chip plant in partnership with HCL Group, setting up an electric vehicle manufacturing unit, and inaugurating an Apple AirPods factory.

Foxconn, also known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., is a Taiwanese multinational electronics contract manufacturer founded in 1974 by Terry Gou. It holds the distinction of being the world’s largest provider of electronics manufacturing services, assembling products for major tech brands such as Apple, Sony, and Microsoft.

With factories in various countries and substantial operations in China, Foxconn continues to expand its investments in India. The company is renowned for its advanced manufacturing technologies, extensive production capabilities, and significant contributions to the global electronics supply chain.
