China’s ruling Communist Party (CCP) is using Worldwide Olympic Committee (IOC) chairman Thomas Bach as a conduit to quell international anger and indignation over the treatment of tennis star Peng Shuai ahead of the Feb. 4-22 Winter Games in Beijing, observers said on Thursday.
