Due to a controversial law imposed by Beijing Hong Kong protestors will be held in detention for months

According to a media source, Hong Kong activist Andy Li and paralegal Chan Tsz-wah will spend at least another five months in detention pending sentencing under China’s national security law, as Beijing tightens its grip on the territory’s media and compels its closure.
It comes as Beijing tightens restrictions on media outlets in the area, forcing Stand News and Citizen News to close.
Even two ex-editors of Stand News have been imprisoned, drawing widespread condemnation from around the world.
